# Introduction

> *"A walking man will meet his luck."*

**The Walking Man** is an NFT collection for people who walk. There are 9,999 tokens, and they're earned by putting real miles on the ground — not raffles, not Discord tasks, not point farming. You walk. The road remembers.

This guide explains everything: how to earn your whitelist spot, how your steps are counted fairly, how tournaments work, and how you mint.

## The Basics

* **9,999 NFTs.** Hard cap. Each one is unique.
* **Three tiers.** Higher your steps, better your guarantee:
  * **FCFS:** 10,000 steps — first-come, first-served whitelist slot
  * **GTD:** 20,000 steps — guaranteed mint
  * **2× GTD:** 30,000 steps — two guaranteed mints
* **Fair counting.** Steps are detected on your phone, verified against cheating, and counted server-side. No apps. No shortcuts.
* **Daily tournaments.** Walk with a group (up to 10 people) and compete for bonus steps every day.
* **Unlock wallets at tier 1.** Once you hit the first tier, register your wallet (Ethereum) to get ready for mint.
